| American Goldfinch Thread Painted American Goldfinch. This wall hanging measures 12" by 14". Created using a plum designed cotton fabric as a background, that I machine quilted before attaching the bird and limb. The chubby Goldfinch and limb were each thread painted separately with free motion machine stitching (no paint was used in this creation), then sewn to the quilted wall hanging with more thread painting. The flower petals (from purchased stems) were hand sewn in place using French knots, giving dimension and texture to this piece. Gold bias tape sewn in place frames my bird and adds sparkle. The plum fabric was used for the binding which is double fold. The wall hanging has 2 small rings sewn to the back for easy hanging. |

| "Climbing Vines" Measures 24 1/2" tall by 18 1/2" wide. 100% cotton fabric and batting. 3 small rings sewn on the back for easy hanging. The flowers and leaves are created with heart shaped and round yo yo's. The round yo yo's used for the leaves were elongated to give it's leaf shape. Each hand made leaf and flower were then hand sewn to the quilt. The background is pieced with tans and cream fabric pieces. The fence is raw edge machine appliqué . Self made bias trim was used for the vines, they are not raw edge. Free motion machine quilted Finished with a green check double fold binding. Purchase price $49.95 postage included. |
