| "Climbing Vines" Measures 24 1/2" tall by 18 1/2" wide. 100% cotton fabric and batting. 3 small rings sewn on the back for easy hanging. The flowers and leaves are created with heart shaped and round yo yo's. The round yo yo's used for the leaves were elongated to give it's leaf shape. Each hand made leaf and flower were then hand sewn to the quilt. The background is pieced with tans and cream fabric pieces. The fence is raw edge machine appliqué . Self made bias trim was used for the vines, they are not raw edge. Free motion machine quilted Finished with a green check double fold binding. Purchase price $49.95 postage included. |
"Summer Rose"
This rose is machine felted on a linen fabric
using raw wool in shades of reds, blues and
greens. I used a satin stitch to outline each
section of the rose and leaves, I then
extended the stitching out to the outer
edges to give the appearance of stained
glass. A border was added with red cotton
moda marble fabric. The frame is oak
measuring 22 ¾” by 18 ¾”. The double mat
is 16” by 20” with a 13 ½” by 10 ½” opening.
The inside edge of the mat is gold but
shows more silver with the light and the
influence of the blue color wool. The outside
of the mat is ivory color.
